In the Black, Blue and Red Series the blue represents the part of us that interacts with and is influenced by the world around us. It is our face presented to the world and in countless ways, both consciously and unconsciously, is shaped by our individual circumstances and experiences and our preferences and desires.

The red represents our inner selves. It is the part in each of us that would remain primarily unchanged despite our circumstances, be it a life in poverty one thousand years ago or a pampered one of luxury five hundred years ago or a middle class existence of today. It is from here that perspective is derived.

The style is obviously inspired by Miro with a touch of Calder and with perhaps a whisper of Picasso. Hopefully there is at least a hint of a new vision which will rapidly become more evident as the vision develops and evolves.
